A bulk encryption system (BES) has been developed to ensure secure data transmission of large-scale sensitive data in open communication channels. Large scale encryption can also be used when storing critical information in large public databases. We have demonstrated an FPGA based encryptor with 6Gbps AES-128 encryption/decryption performance. The encryptor is capable of being scaled to performance up to 100Gbps performance for AES like block ciphers.
